Through people, partnerships, and an integrated approach to addressing the impacts of systemic economic injustices, Breakthrough’s Community Economic Development program provides education, work experience, and supportive services so that individuals increase skills, gain and retain employment, and access to resources and opportunities that promote individual economic stability, wealth creation, and a community of strong contributors and leaders.

Breakthrough provides services across 5 key domains that meet residents where they are at on their personal financial journey.

Employment

We provide assistance with job training, career development, career placement, and job retention support.

Financial Coaching

We support residents to increase their financial literacy, develop savings, improve net worth and provide access to financial products.

Income Support

We help residents get access to the benefits they are eligible for, which increases their income.

Housing

We provide housing education and coaching so that residents can become homeownership ready.

Small Business

We help launch small businesses through education and coaching
