Breakthrough’s Walk for Hunger raises awareness and funds to end food insecurity in our community and beyond. Join us for a one-mile walk in East Garfield Park on Saturday, April 30, 2022. Every walker will earn $12 to support Breakthrough’s food distribution efforts.
Check-in begins at 9 a.m. at Westinghouse High School, and the walk will kick off at 10 a.m. Afterwards, join us for food, music, and opportunities to learn about our work and get involved. The first 300 registrants will receive a complimentary Walk for Hunger t-shirt.
In East Garfield Park, 50 percent of residents are at risk of food insecurity, which means they don’t know where their next meal is coming from. The uncertainty of not having enough has only grown during the COVID-19 crisis. Let’s put an end to hunger and food insecurity together.
Online registration is closed but you can register tomorrow morning at the event.
